Egypt Daily News – The Washington Post has reported that the Biden administration has received 500 reports concerning the use of American weapons by Israel that allegedly killed civilians in Gaza.

These reports, which have originated from various sources including U.S. government agencies, international relief organizations, and eyewitnesses, suggest possible violations of both U.S. and international law.

Some of these reports were submitted to the U.S. State Department last year and include documentation such as photos and videos that show the aftermath of attacks involving American-made bombs, particularly where children were killed.

An American official stated that the administration is currently investigating these incidents and is seeking clarification from the Israeli government.

However, current and former officials have claimed that no actions have been taken in response to the reports, despite guidelines from the State Department that instruct officials to conclude investigations and recommend actions within two months.

Critics of the Biden administration’s ongoing military support for Israel argue that the handling of these reports reflects a reluctance to hold Israel accountable for alleged violations of civilian rights during the prolonged conflict, which has resulted in significant casualties, including over 43,000 lives lost. John Raming Chapel, a legal advisor at the Center for Civilians in Conflict, criticized the administration for ignoring evidence of civilian casualties to maintain its arms transfer policy to the Israeli government.
