Egypt Daily News – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a strong warning against making concessions to Russian President Vladimir Putin, characterizing such actions as “suicide” for Europe. In his speech to European leaders in Budapest, Zelensky rejected suggestions that Kyiv should compromise with Moscow, emphasizing the unacceptability of such proposals.

As the prospect of Donald Trump returning to the White House becomes more tangible, concerns arise among European nations regarding potential shifts in U.S. foreign policy, particularly regarding military support for Ukraine and concessions to Russia. Zelensky underscored the importance of strengthening relations between the U.S. and Europe, stating that a robust America would also bolster Europe, and vice versa.

He voiced his apprehension about the threat posed not only by Russia but also by North Korean fighters, who have reportedly joined Russian forces in Ukraine, calling their involvement a direct conflict at the gates of Europe.

Trump has previously indicated intentions to bring an end to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with hints from his team about a forthcoming “peace plan.” His past praise for Putin and criticism of the current U.S. administration’s support for Ukraine raise questions about future U.S. policies under a Trump presidency, which could affect European security dynamics.

Zelensky’s remarks highlight the fragile nature of European security and the critical role of transatlantic unity in facing contemporary geopolitical challenges.
