Egypt Daily News – President Sisi and H.H. President Bin Zayed stress the importance of protecting the security and sovereignty of Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia.
The two leaders stressed the importance of protecting the security and sovereignty of those sister countries in a way that achieves the interests and aspirations of their people towards stability and prosperity.
This came during the reception of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates, today, Thursday, with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
After the reception ceremony, the two presidents held a meeting that discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them in a way that achieves the interests of the two countries and the aspirations of their brotherly peoples, especially in the economic, trade and investment fields.
The meeting also discussed the situation in Lebanon, where the two sides welcomed the election of President Joseph Aoun, hoping that this would contribute to restoring stability in brotherly Lebanon, and stressed the necessity of establishing a ceasefire in Lebanon to protect its people and achieve their aspirations.
The two leaders also discussed the situation in Syria, stressing their concern for Syria’s unity, stability and territorial integrity, and stressing the importance of starting a comprehensive political process that includes all components of the Syrian people and with Syrian ownership.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the UAE, also discussed the situation in Syria.
