Egypt Daily News – Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke by phone with the Sultan of Oman, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the call reviewed regional developments.

President El-Sisi emphasized the need to halt the ongoing escalation between Israel and Iran, warning of the grave consequences of the expanding conflict in the region. The President emphasized the need to return to the negotiating table to prevent bloodshed.

The President praised the role played by the Sultanate of Oman in mediating between Iran and the United States, stressing the need to restore and strengthen the negotiating process to spare the region the scourge of war.

Both sides affirmed the priority of working to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and providing humanitarian aid to the Strip to save its people from the humanitarian tragedy they are experiencing due to the Israeli aggression They emphasized that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is the basic guarantee for sustainable stability in the Middle East.

During the call, both sides affirmed the deep Egyptian-Omani relations and their keenness to advance joint action across various fields in line with the historical relations between the two brotherly countries.
