Strategic Bilateral Meetings in New Alamein City

President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi officially welcomed White House envoy Jared Kushner to the coastal city of Alamein. The high-level diplomatic meeting included Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel Aty and General Intelligence chief Hassan Rashad.

Kushner relayed personal greetings from US President Donald Trump during the opening session of the summit. President el-Sisi expressed deep appreciation for the message and reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to the strategic partnership.

Advancing Regional Security and Stability

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shinawi stated that the leaders focused heavily on managing current Middle Eastern geopolitical developments. President el-Sisi stressed the vital need for joint coordination to neutralize security threats across the region.

The discussions emphasized the necessity of resolving ongoing crises to restore long-term economic stability. Both delegations pledged to continue working together on mutual defense and international intelligence sharing.

Enforcing the Palestinian Ceasefire Agreement

The diplomatic parties reviewed critical updates regarding the implementation of the historic Palestinian peace process. El-Sisi underscored that all active factions must honor the obligations set during the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit.

Kushner praised Egypt’s continuous mediation efforts and thanked President el-Sisi for his direct personal involvement. The American envoy labeled Cairo an indispensable cornerstone for United States foreign policy in the region.

Unprecedented Diplomacy with Hamas Leadership

In a surprise development, Kushner held a separate meeting with Hamas representatives in Alamein to pitch a new peace framework. He explicitly urged the militant group to disarm fully and relinquish future governance over the Gaza Strip.

While Israel formally rejected this specific American proposal, Hamas leadership confirmed its baseline commitment to the framework. Eight Arab and Islamic nations subsequently issued statements condemning Israel’s refusal to accept the Washington-backed initiative.

Coalition of Regional Mediators Convene

International sources confirmed that Kushner also met with key regional mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey. The specialized summit included Nikolay Mladenov, who currently represents Gaza on Trump’s newly formed Peace Council.

The allied mediators expressed unified support for the White House plan to secure a permanent ceasefire. However, they jointly cautioned against taking any diplomatic steps that might undermine the progress achieved since last October.
