Egypt beats Croatia in Handball

Egypt Daily News – The Egyptian handball team, led by its Spanish coach, Juan Carlos Pastor, defeated its Croatian counterpart, the host, with a score of 28-24, achieving the full score at the conclusion of the group stage of the World Championship, which is jointly organized by Croatia, Denmark, and Norway.

The first half ended with a score of 14-11 in a match that witnessed remarkable superiority for: Mohamed Ali, the Pharaohs’ goalkeeper, and Ahmed Hisham Dodo.

As for the second half, Ali continued to shine as a goalkeeper, with Ahmed Adel in the circle, as well as Saif Al-Daraa and Yahya Khaled.

Pasteur succeeded in continuing the series of performances and heavy results, after winning his first match against Argentina with a score of 39-25 before defeating Bahrain on Friday with a score of 35-24 in a match that witnessed the brilliance of goalkeeper Karim Hindawi, Ahmed Hisham Dodo and Mohsen Ramadan, who won the best player in the match.

The Argentina match also witnessed the appearance of a number of players with impressive performances, such as goalkeeper Mohamed Ali, Mohamed Sanad and Yehia Khaled, as well as Ali Zein, who won the title of best player in the match.

The tournament has 32 teams divided into 8 groups, with each group including 4 teams, and the first round matches will be held in a single-round league system.

The first 3 teams from each group qualify for the main round, and 24 teams qualify for the main round, divided into 4 groups, with each of two adjacent groups joining into one group that includes 6 teams… (first with second – third with fourth – fifth with sixth – seventh with eighth) Each team that qualifies for the main round brings with it the score of points it obtained from its two matches with the two teams that qualified from the same team.
