Egypt Daily News – President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi congratulated Donald Trump after he was sworn in as President of the United States. The president said in a post on his Facebook and X account: “I congratulate His Excellency President Donald Trump on the occasion of his being sworn in as President of the United States of America.”
He added: “I emphasize the continuation of work and cooperation with His Excellency to strengthen the strategic relations between our two countries and achieve common interests, in a way that serves the interests of the two peoples and enhances security and stability in our region and the world, wishing President Trump all success.”
On Monday evening (Cairo time), Donald Trump was sworn in as President of the United States. This was preceded by J.D. Vance being sworn in as Vice President of the United States.
Outgoing President Joe Biden was the first to shake hands with Trump following his swearing-in during the ceremony held inside the Congress building.
The artillery fired its shots immediately after Trump was sworn in.
