“In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful”

The great people of Egypt,

The sons of our valiant Armed Forces,

Ladies and gentlemen,

On this momentous day in the history of our nation, the Egyptian people inscribed a luminous chapter in the annals of national glory, a watershed moment when the Egyptian resolve surged forth to declare unequivocally to the entire world that Egypt shall never relinquish a single grain of its soil, and that great nations always command the power to transform defeat into victory, forging a path toward a more radiant future.

As we mark this glorious national milestone, I extend a tribute of profound reverence and esteem to the brave men of our valiant Armed Forces, the finest of the earth’s guardians, the sword and shield of the homeland.

To them, I say: ‘You answered the call of duty at one of the most critical and perilous moments in the nation’s history. You bore upon your shoulders the grave duty of reclaiming its land and restoring its national dignity; you proved equal to that sacred trust and formidable responsibility. By Allah’s grace, you shall forever remain this nation’s impenetrable fortress and the invincible shield of its security and stability.’

With deep solemnity and honor, I salute the noble souls of our virtuous martyrs, and I reiterate to their families and loved ones that Egypt shall never forget its faithful sons, and that the State remains fully committed to extending every form of support to them.

I likewise extend my heartfelt tribute and gratitude to our heroic wounded, saying to them: ‘Your wounds shall forever remain decorations of supreme honor, pride, and distinction upon the nation’s heart, and a timeless testament to your devotion and selfless dedication in the line of duty.

Ladies and gentlemen,

We invoke the memory of the glorious October victory to reflect upon the radiant chapters of history, drawing inspiration and wisdom, while rekindling the values of willpower, hard work and the unshakeable faith in our boundless capability to achieve greatness and shape the future.

The great October victory was the culmination of years of tireless commitment and meticulous planning, grounded in a firm conviction: that victory aligns with those who embrace the elements of strength and fulfill their duty with sincerity, selflessness, and unwavering devotion.

Empowered by this faith, we prevailed in October 1973; inspired by this spirit, we gather our resolve today to forge ahead in building the New Republic.

I recognize with absolute certainty that living pressures weigh heavily upon Egyptian families, and I deeply value your patience and endurance. I say to you with utter clarity and candor: The State refused to settle for merely managing problems accumulated over decades without solving them. We rejected that legacy and chose the harder, more honorable path, assuming full responsibility for reform, confronting challenges head-on, and establishing fundamental, lasting solutions.

Let me state clearly: nation-building is a sacred covenant and a solemn responsibility for which we shall answer before Allah the Almighty and before the judgment of history. Allah the Almighty has commanded us to strive, to reform and to construct, making hard work and the diligent pursuit of means the sole path to progress and prosperity. Almighty Allah has never decreed that submitting to hardship, evading challenges, or relying on temporary remedies could ever forge the strength or grandeur of nations.

Guided by this conviction, it became our imperative, indeed our national and historical destiny, to grapple with these realities, maintaining our persistent drive toward development and building a future worthy of Egypt, its people, and its history.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We stand today amidst a region mired in turmoil and crises, in a world marked by swift transformations and unprecedented challenges that have fractured nations, shattered the stability of homelands, and forced millions from their homes. Through it all, Divine Providence has spared Egypt and its people, sustained first by Allah’s grace and upheld by the vigilance of the great Egyptian people, the cohesion of our home front, the noble sacrifices and valor of our Armed Forces and Civil Police, and the tireless devotion of all Egyptian state institutions.

Let me reiterate what I previously emphasized: the challenges ahead remain formidable, and the plots targeting Egypt’s stability proceed unabated. Yet I state here today, at this very moment, with absolute confidence and conviction: The Egyptian State remains robust through its institutions, united by the resolve of its people, and fully empowered to protect its national security, shield its resources and preserve its stability.

It is my firm and unshakeable belief that Allah the Almighty shields Egypt, and that no force shall ever succeed in compromising its security, encroaching upon its people’s capabilities, or dictating its will to this proud homeland.

I reaffirm once more to the international community that the establishment of an independent Palestinian State, in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy, remains the sole viable path to delivering a just and lasting peace, as well as enduring stability across the Middle East.

Allow me to remind everyone that Egypt and Israel fought wars spanning long decades until the bold courage and foresight of the political leadership at the time, supported by American mediation, paved the way toward peace and brought an end to hostilities between our two nations.

This stands as living proof that peace is by no means an unattainable aspiration, but a viable choice capable of resolving conflicts and fostering peaceful coexistence among peoples.

In this context, I reaffirm our categorical rejection of any attempts aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from their land. I also emphasize the imperative of the full implementation of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, cautioning against any effort to circumvent or disregard its execution.

I underscore Egypt’s unshakable and unequivocal stance in support of the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of fraternal Arab states, as well as our vehement rejection of any infringement upon their national institutions.

I likewise reiterate that the security of the Arab Gulf States is an integral and inseparable part of Egypt’s national security. Furthermore, I reassert Egypt’s absolute condemnation and rejection of any aggressions directed against Arab States, and stress the imperative of safeguarding the freedom of navigation across international maritime waterways.

Regarding the River Nile, let me be clear and decisive: The Nile is the very lifeline of Egypt and the cornerstone of its existence across millennia. Egypt’s water share is an established historical and non-negotiable legal right that admits of no compromise or infringement. While Egypt continues, as it always has, to extend a hand of joint cooperation and development to its brethren in the Nile Basin States, it will simultaneously tolerate no action that compromises its water security, and shall continue to defend its rights by all means sanctioned under international law.

Honorable Sons and Daughters of Egypt,

In conclusion, I assure you that the Egyptian Armed Forces stand, as our people have ever known them, at the height of preparedness to safeguard Egypt, its resources, and its national security, at all times and under any circumstances.

Again, I affirm that the great people of Egypt, having authored the epic Crossing and captivated the world through their resolve, endurance, and ability to overcome every challenge, possess the full capacity by Allah’s grace to press forward along the path of construction and development, forging a brighter, stronger, and more prosperous future for generations to come.

May Almighty Allah keep Egypt safe, protect its noble people, and bestow upon our homeland the enduring blessings of security and stability.

And through Almighty Allah:

Long live Egypt… Long live Egypt… Long live Egypt

May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon you all
