Egypt Daily News – President Donald Trump has stirred wide controversy after posting a video on his Truth Social platform featuring American B-2 bombers edited alongside the 1980 song “Bomb Iran.” The video, which went viral across social media, shows dramatic footage of bombers in flight and dropping payloads, overlaid with the provocative lyrics of the satirical song.
The song, originally released by Vince Vance and the Valiants in 1980 during the Iran hostage crisis, is a parody of the Beach Boys’ 1962 hit “Barbara Ann.” In Trump’s video, lyrics include lines such as:
“Tell the Ayatollah: I’m gonna put you in a box!
Uncle Sam is getting hot…
Time to turn Iran into a parking lot… Bomb Iran, bomb bomb Iran…”
The video was posted Tuesday night and quickly drew sharp reactions online, both critical and supportive.
The timing of the post added to the uproar. It came just as CNN reported that recent U.S. airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities had likely failed to destroy key components of Iran’s nuclear program. According to preliminary U.S. intelligence assessments, the strikes may have delayed the program by only a few months.
Trump, however, rejected that assessment. In a separate post on Truth Social, he claimed the strikes were “one of the most successful military operations in history,” asserting that “Iran’s nuclear sites were completely destroyed.”
Iran has not yet officially responded to the video, but the post is expected to add further strain to already tense relations between Washington and Tehran.
